About Genevieve

Genevieve hails from Somerset in England. She grew up in the countryside, surrounded on all sides by wonderful nature. She studied Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and only seriously invested time in writing in 2023, despite having written stories since she could hold a pen. She wrote her first poem aged 5, about cats (filling up the house) and her first book aged 12 (several other dodgy writing projects followed).
She has won or been shortlisted for various awards in the last 12 months, including the Writer’s Digest Annual Short Story Award and the Bath, Periscope, Elmbridge and Globe Soup Short Story Competitions.
As well as exploring the Somerset countryside, and drinking cider in old pubs, Genevieve enjoys her day job as a Data Privacy Consultant, is working through a Psychology Diploma, has undertaken 300 hours of Forex training during the Covid-19 years and regularly dog-sits for various families (she hopes to get a pooch in 2024!)
